RAWRGH. For the life of me I don't understand why my scanner likes to crop stuff as it pleases. I didn't even so much as tweaked the settings. I don't know what in hells is going on with it. Can't fix it cuz there's nothing wrong with the settings and I tried scanning twice - still came out that way. BAH. Took a shitty snapshot with camera too.

Is very cranky because there's just 1 day left before I have to return to Cyberjaya - classes are fucking starting again. Damn it.

Here is Hirari. I'll let you puzzle over the indiscernible details. Will scan again when less pissy. My plan is to finish this by tomorrow (upholding my tradition of a new drawing each time I have to leave for uni again) but don't think I can make it. Well, at least I'm drawing again, which by the way is a sure sign of something amiss - I always retreat to my comfort zone whenever I'm faced with things I don't particularly like to acknowledge or handle. Insisting on completing my drawings immediately is another definite indication that I am trying very, very hard to run away from the more pressing matters at hand.

Saiseki Hirari

Please allow me to just get these two things out of my chest. I DON'T WANT TO GO BACK TO UNI! *throws childish tantrum* And I don't want to talk about my final project because I have no FUCKING clue! *rage*

22 and still haven't grown up. Sorry.

The raging golden tempest...

Digging through my stuff in my HDD, I found this old doodle of my Gensoumaden Saiyuki original character - Chiho Mikana or 'Mika' for short. I'm very fond of her though I rarely draw her anymore nowadays. She's probably my only OC with really long hair (before Rikyou came along). Don't know why I like her so much; I just do. She's fun to draw and colour (more so than Hirari, believe it or not). I've cleaned this up a bit but you'll definitely still notice the outdated style.

This is the latest drawing of her to date (either 2008 or 09, not sure). I made changes to the design in this one. I still have the initial drawings of her at my dA account if you're curious to see how she looked like back then. Her theme colours are gold/red/brown and the tattered scarf and long skirt is sort of her trademark look. xD Since I created her as a match for Son Goku (who I absolutely adore), I purposely made certain things in her designs similar to his. She wears a power limiter (akin to Goku's forehead circlet) around her left upper arm though she keeps it covered with bandages or a glove most of the time. Her weapon is a long staff with narrow, sword-like blades at each end. I think it has a name, but that escapes me at the moment. She's a heretic & a half-breed (specifically, a mixture of demonic and goddess blood) and bears a mark on her forehead to indicate this. The 'Gaiden' version of herself is named Kiome, and died after performing an uber noble deed of self-sacrifice to save the world. Lol xD. Oh, and she also has a berserk mode where she transforms into a black-haired, sharp clawed, bloodlust killer.

First post... nothing particularly interesting.

Just to get rid of the empty front page. Hey, this is supposed to be an art dump blog. Why am I rambling over here too?

Oh well, I finally succumbed to temptation and got a blogger account. I mean, I did say before that I already have one, but that had been converted to my portfolio blog... is suddenly reminded of something nasty- ugh, let's not go there, please. But this is fo real, yo. I even made a header to demonstrate my enthusiasm (haha!). I don't know why, but blogger have always given me the impression that it is more convenient to dump sketches here instead of in LJ. Had to sacrifice my love for avatars, however, although the availability of the 'justify' option evens that out, I suppose. And I can finally add gadjets! Take that, LJ!

Stuff that's currently holding my interest right now are... Let's see... The Tairen Soul series, Adam G. Sevani (or his character - Robert 'Moose' Alexander III; in Step Up 2), and The Hunger Games trilogy.

To elaborate...

I got to know the Tairen Soul books by C. L. Wilson quite accidentally when I downloaded the ebooks from some random folder on 4shared. It was purely luck that they happened to be really good - I've a feeling the author and myself share many similar tastes in fiction, based on how well the books seemed to fit my expectations. I'm looking forward to a one-shot novel of hers that's coming out in October - The Winter King. Based on what little info she managed to spare on her blog regarding the book, it's totally my kind of thing. xD

As for my obsession with Adam G. Sevani... I must admit that I didn't really pay much heed to Step Up 2 when it was first released (and that had been ages ago). I mean, I watched it (more like skimmed through it with the forward button, watching only the interesting parts). It didn't leave that much of an impression on me that I'd quickly forgotten all about it until recently when I re-watched it and thought: "Wow, this 'Moose' guy is... awesome. O_O" But he's 17 right now... I feel like such an old hag...

So yeah. xD; Now, I am totally combing YouTube for his vids and flickr for his pics, and I plan to extract all his parts from Step Up 2 and mash them up into a single video of pure Moose-goodness so I don't have to keep forwarding the movie just to watch his scenes. Oh, and I'm even typing an OC fic on Moose (which really is the real main thing that's occupying my time lately). Unfortunately, it's for my eyes only... since I pretty much stole a pre-existing story and changed the name of the female character. (<-- OH GOD SO SHAMELESS LOL) It started out as... well, for fun. I simply couldn't stand the idea of reading a pairing that involves someone else's OC, haha. So, I changed the name in order to make the reading tolerable. But then I started getting annoyed at some of the passages and getting my own ideas, and before I know it, I'm re-writing the entire goddamn thing. Lol~ It's taking up so much of my time (I really have no life, don't I?) but extremely satisfying. Sure beats doing homework. But I'm beginning to feel a bit distressed by the sheer amount of editing that's required, and all I really want is to finally get around to writing the good parts - I still have such a long way to go. *rolls around* =_= Argh. There's a high probability that I'd sooner lose interest than actually completing this.

As for The Hunger Games trilogy (well, there are only 2 books out)... all I can say is it sucks living in Malaysia because the 2nd book has been out since 1st September and I've yet to see it in the bookstores here. =__=

And I'm all for Peeta, btw. Yes, I don't read books unless there's a pairing.

That will be all for now. I should really start dumping sketches here like I'm supposed to.
